Bandai Namco has updated the official website of its upcoming action RPG Code Vein II with official character renders, screenshots, and profiles.
You can view these reveals via our galleries below:
The Protagonist’s Counterpart, with the Power to Travel Through Time –
A Revenant girl who revived the protagonist — who lost his life during a mission as a Revenant Hunter — by giving him her own heart.
She holds the special power to follow someone’s Pathos and leap into the past.
With the mission to save the world, she embarks on a journey to the past alongside the protagonist.
The Serene Pioneer of the Progenitor’s Bloodline –
He is the heir to the Voda House, a Revenant lineage descended from the Progenitor and one of the most formidable bloodlines among their kind.
He once led MagMell as a magical research institute, delving into the secrets of ancient formae.
He also holds the title of a judicial magistrate, acting as an arbiter to settle disputes between vampires and humans.
The Warrior of Resolve, Protector of Friends –
A former human-turned-Revenant who belonged to Mag Mell’s Research Institute 100 years in the past.
To protect his friend Valentin, who values his strength above all else, he has become a personal bodyguard, taking on dangerous missions without hesitation.
The Tragic Queen Burdened by Guilt –
The Revenant who rules the Sunken City.
She built shelters to protect the last survivors in the world, but she is also haunted by a failure from her past — an inability to stop a massive Resurgence outbreak that caused unimaginable destruction.
With the weight of that guilt, she fights tirelessly on the front lines, a constant guardian for the living.
A Healer’s Genius Against a Cursed Disease –
A Revenant doctor at a clinic nestled deep in the forest.
She wields the healing powers of the Luxuria Bloodline, a lineage rumored to be cursed, to tirelessly research the Resurgence and treat the twisted Revenants it creates.
The Lone Swordsman of the Pledge –
A Revenant with exceptional talent, lauded as a master swordsman.
He serves as the ace of The Dawn Chorus, an organization fighting to reclaim the Corroded Scar.
His reckless fighting style, which disregards his own safety, is feared even by his allies, and he always operates on his own.
Heir to a Savior’s Mission –
A Revenant descendant of the Progenitor who saved the world from collapse.
In this decaying world on the verge of ruin, she leads “MagMell”, an organization fighting for humanity’s salvation.
She bestows the mission of salvation upon the protagonist and Lou, sending them back in time.
The sequel introduces Luna Rapacis, a force that corrupts Revenants into Horrors. Players control a Revenant Hunter tasked with rewriting fate. Guided by Lou, a girl who can cross time, they must travel between the present and the past. New characters Lavinia and Josee will play pivotal roles.
Code Vein II builds upon its predecessor’s signature partner-based combat and Blood Code systems while introducing new mechanics. Two weapon types, Rune Blades and Dual Swords, join the returning one-handed swords, bayonets, halberds, and great hammers. The new Jail system enhances blood-draining attacks with expanded abilities.
Companions are sealed within the protagonist as a heart-shaped core. They can either be summoned to fight alongside you or channeled directly through the new Assimilation system, amplifying the Hunter’s strength.
Players can summon a motorcycle, a spell-based vehicle designed for traversing highways and open roads. Partners ride alongside you, too.
Code Vein II will be released for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam on January 30, 2026.
