7 Member-Approved Fall Finds at Costco

Must read

  • Costco has started rolling out limited-time fall products in its stores, and members have shared their favorite finds online.
  • The Costco bakery has several returning favorites in addition to a sweet new pastry.
  • Halloween-themed products have also started appearing at Costco, as patrons prepare for October.

Leaves are crunching underfoot, the days are getting shorter, and school buses are back on the road. Maybe you’ve noticed a sudden craving for a pumpkin-spiced latte, or perhaps you’re missing the warm summer sun. Whatever side you’re on, a variety of shopper-approved Costco items can help you get into the autumn spirit.

Year after year, devoted Costco fans share their favorite autumn finds on social media. In addition to the usual treats members seek, there’s a new flaky pastry in the bakery this fall that we’ll be enjoying for both breakfast and dinner.

Of course, desserts are the star of the show, as both Costco and its customers celebrate the season for baked goods, warm spices, and stocking up on candy ahead of Halloween. Whether you’re after pumpkin, apple, or chocolate flavors, the bulk retailer almost certainly has a treat you’ll love this fall.

Kirkland Signature Pumpkin Pie

Costco’s internet-famous Kirkland Signature Pumpkin Pies are finally back. As usual, they’re large, weighing in at a hefty 58 ounces each, making them an excellent deal at just $6 per pie. This dessert is noticeably less spiced than most pumpkin pies, which may be a pro or con depending on your taste. Either way, it’s a great way to serve a last-minute crowd for Friendsgiving without breaking the bank.

If you can’t wait until after dinner to dig in or want a reason to enjoy this pie before the holidays, follow the lead of TikTok creator Morgan Chompz (@morganchompz). Her pro move is to order a Costco vanilla ice cream cup at the food court and then mix a slice of pie into the frozen custard, creating a “pumpkin pie sundae.”

Kirkland Signature Pumpkin Cheesecake With Whipped Topping

Classic pumpkin pie isn’t the only viral fall hit from the Costco bakery. TikTokers have also been raving about the retailer’s massive pumpkin cheesecake, a popular returning item that costs $22.

Weighing over four pounds, this chilled dessert has a graham cracker crust, pumpkin filling, and a thick layer of pumpkin spice whipped sour cream. Although the whipped sour cream topping might seem unexpected, many shoppers have shared on social media that it’s delicious.

Gen Bake Apple Fritter Donut Bites

If you’re dreaming of picking apples and enjoying cider doughnuts from a farm stand, Gen Bake’s Apple Fritter Donut Bites could be your perfect Costco find. Priced at around $8 for a 28-ounce pack, these adorable doughnut holes are made with Washington apples and coated in a traditional fritter-style glaze. To make them taste even more like a freshly fried doughnut, several Costco members have emphasized that they’re “incredible” when air-fried.

Harry Potter Hot Cocoa Gift Set

In addition to its Harry Potter-inspired design, this hot cocoa set features themed mugs and color-changing hot cocoa mixes. If you have a kid who’s a big fan of the franchise or wants something that feels a little spooky without being scary, this will do the trick. A two-pack box costs $13.50, and each pack includes eight color-changing hot chocolate mixes, two decorative mugs, two wands for stirring, and mini marshmallows.

Kirkland Signature Caramel Apple Strudel Bites

Caramel apples meet baked goods in this new offering that delivers the best of both worlds. The Caramel Apple Strudel Bites are made by Costco’s bakery department, but unlike the store’s pie crust recipe that relies on shortening, they’re made with an all-butter pastry dough.

You can grab 12 of these pastries for $8.99, and one review notes that they have “the perfect balance of caramel and cinnamon apple.”

Kit Kat Assortment Halloween Lovers

You could stock up on a standard bag of miniature Kit Kats ahead of Halloween, or you could grab this adorable pack of snack-sized treats in a variety of flavors like marshmallow creme and cinnamon toast, with vampire-shaped chocolates included too.

It’s also an excellent price, coming in at $17 for a 38-ounce bag. For comparison, a 16-ounce bag of plain miniature Kit Kats at Walmart costs $9, which means at Costco you get more than twice the candy for less than twice the price, plus the themed flavors and shapes inside.

Not a Kit Kat fan? Costco offers a wide variety of bulk Halloween sweets at lower prices, often in fun, themed shapes and flavors. Be sure to skim the candy aisle, as you might find something else that catches your eye.

Costco Bakery Pumpkin Streusel Muffins

If you’re welcoming autumn with a pumpkin spice latte in the morning, consider pairing it with one of Costco’s Pumpkin Streusel Muffins. They’re another fan-favorite Costco bakery staple that returns every fall, and you can buy a pack of eight for $7. For aficionados of the bulk warehouse retailer, it’s the crunchy, buttery streusel topping that makes these a must-try.

While these muffins are delicious straight out of the box, one Redditor suggests heating them up, writing, “We store these in the fridge and then warm [them] up in the microwave in the morning, so [they’re] nice and steaming hot.”

If you don’t think you can finish the eight-pack before they go stale, another Reddit user suggests individually wrapping and storing the muffins in the freezer so you can make this seasonal treat from Costco last even longer.

Exact prices may vary depending on store location.
